Dodgy Plumbing Detectives should be their name. Tried to quote me $2950 to fix something that should only be $200. Unethical these guys do not have any shame to take your money and run. BEWARE!!

Called the Plumbing detectives to fix a leaking water heater. They didn't even try to fix it, just said it needed replacing and quoted $3,500. I was sure it didn't need replacing so ended up calling Service Today plumbing company and they just put a new part in which cost a little over $300 and it works fine now.

Had these people come out to my fathers house and they charged him $1700 to put a regulator on the wall and did not fix compliance plate on wall like they are required to do. 18 months later its leaking gas do you think i can can them back out? 3 days in a row they did not show up now im calling someone else and i will just pay to get it fixed..... Stay right away from this mob if you want it done properly.....

This company targets the elderly, ripped off my 80 year old mother with replacing a tap in her bathroom and charging her $500. Cheap tap, and definitely not worth $500, should have been $175 max! Stay away!

Avoid. Business model where a different person comes to your door for each step of the process and often without important info handed over from the last person. They have polished salespeople at the start followed by substandard work. Overcharged, bullied to pay in full after they damaged my home prior to repairing it. Sent someone who did not fix the damage caused. Wished I properly researched them before booking, apparently the company has also been in the media for ripping off the elderly.

I don't know how this company has a 4.5 star rating... I should have actually read the reviews and gone elsewhere! I wanted them to fix some dripping taps (shower and sink). Was quoted $280 for a basic service. Expensive (when their website says from $88 and apparently there's no call-out fee - but only if you mention it on the phone!), but I accepted the price at the time. Then I was told he had done the shower, but couldn't do the sink because the taps were a 'bad design' and that we would need all new taps and pipes. Thought twice at the time about this, but accepted what he said. He then took my money and left. Upon cleaning up afterwards I found the whole tap fitting was loose in the shower and sink and can easily spin around exposing a hole for water to escape into the wall cavity. Upon calling him back he said this was how it was to start with (it wasn't) and it 'wasn't his fault' it's just a 'bad design'. Told me he could come back out to put some silicone on it but would charge me a call out fee and 'materials'!!! What a rip off, now I'm left with a bigger problem than when I started. Do not use these guys, absolute frauds!

Great service. Water pipe leaking in our street in Kirribilli. Sydney Water denied responsibility. Called O'Brien who attended. Investigated. Got all the neighbours to agree to pay their share (took a couple of days effort). But we all agreed to go ahead with the O'Brien quote. In the end O'Brien were able to get Sydney Water to attend three (3) times to replace valves and install a new one for the street. We (collectively) had to pay to fix the leak. Split the bill between the neighbours. Great result.

Laser Plumbing and Electrical were absolutely fabulous in undertaking my bathroom renovation. It was not an easy job: the bathroom was very compact -every centimetre counted - and access was difficult. Daniel provided excellent project management - always accessible and approachable, and keen to assist. Darren and Karl who completed the bathroom were truly excellent - they went out of their way to ensure the work was of highest quality and that we achieved the best result. Of all the work done in the unit, the work Laser did was easily the best - other contractors were more concerned with getting in and out quickly rather than ensuring a quality outcome. I highly recommend the team at Laser Plumbing & Electrical!! They installed a hot water tank in February this year. In July there was a small leak (from the pipes settling) and they came straight back to fix it the day I called them (free of charge). And then last week there were some other small issues, and a plumber was at my house within a few hours to check it out and the work was booked in the next day ...all FREE of charge because it was under warranty. I really trust the team at Laser and know I can count on them when I need something new or when something goes wrong. Thank you!
