The Vet and other staff today were so helpful of my situation, I am so appreciative. My dog Gypsy has a traumatic past and her aggression fuelled by fear can make it very difficult for her to be around other dogs and cats. After a short phone call to Alex about our situation, she assured me that I could wait with Gypsy in a private room to see the vet, so as to avoid any traumatic confrontations. When I arrived she did as advised over the phone. Dr Amy Zahn was the vet on hand to examine & treat Gypsy and she was extremely mindful to her specific situation, leaving the whole process a complete breeze. The staff are amazing, and our cat is always calm and relaxed when we pick her up. I feel like they love her as much as I do. No option to give less than 1 star! Absolutely appalled with the service at North Shore Vet Hospital. Little communication between reception staff and veterinarians. Firstly, having specifically requested a specialist vet for a pet duck, I was not given an appointment and spent an extra 1.5 hours waiting around for an appointment to which was still late - a phone call could easily of rectified this. Secondly, It was recommended that I have blood tests sent off to a lab and that they would be back the following day, this of course at an extra fee. The blood tests were required to assess further course of action/treatment. I was expecting a call the following day with the results when they came back - No phone call. I had to follow up with the hospital myself only to be told that the bird specialist was not there and I should call back another time (no specific day/time). I called back on multiple occasions in the week proceeding to finally be told call back on Thursday. Thursday rolls around and I make the phone call to which I was told the vet was in surgery and I was assured she would call back once she was out, by 4.30pm Thursday I still hadn't received a call from the vet so I call again - The particular vet had gone home. This is extremely frustrating and still unresolved - and my pet is still sick. Where is your due diligence surrounding the welfare of animals? Side Note: Why does it take 15 minutes of being on hold every time I call?

I took my cat Bruce in for cataract surgery in both eyes. Everyone I talked to was so informative and professional. Our surgeon, Cameron Whittaker was awesome. He gave my Brucie the gift of sight. I am SO thankful. Parking was a breeze, and the place was clean. A bit pricey but I was confident my Brucie was in the best care, with the best surgeon so it’s worth it.

Marcus and his team at Sydney Animal Hospital Kellyville have looked after my Boxer dogs & cats over past 20 years. The attentive care given to the animals is second to none. They are genuinely caring and compassionate. Now they are caring for our 4th Boxer and I would never consider going to any other veterinary clinic. The compassion given by the staff when you face your darkest days when losing your pet is incredibly comforting.

Dr Markus Mander has been our two fur-babies vet since before we bought them as puppies over 11 years ago and before he moved to his current premises! They have been with him ever since, even though we love a good distance away. He always cares for all his "little soldiers" in such a tender and kind way. We have always felt heard after talking with him. He diagnoses professionally and he explains everything carefully in a non-condesending way, which we always appreciate. Thank you Dr Markus. Always attentive and gentle with my dog. They tell you what is wrong with your pet in plain terms and answer any questions I have. They have seen my dog as a walk in when it was an emergency but they do prefer appointments. The wait is never too long, even when busy. Very happy with them. Not cheap but not overly expensive either.

Exceptional care, communication and the highest standard of veterinarian expertise from Dr.Markus Mander, who in his consultation explained in easy to understand terms what the medical issue is, each procedure and options available. Dr. Markus has a calming approach, and with his extensive and accurate knowledge and training, in a difficult and worrying time I felt well informed and reassured in making decisions that would give the best outcome for my pet (loved family member). Having found a large lump on my dog's hind leg, I contacted SAH at Kellyville and was given a same day appointment. On diagnosis the tumour was cancerous and again with a sense of urgency my dog was booked in for a consult with Dr.Markus and same day for surgery and removal of the tumour which was necessary to ensure that the disease did not spread. I am thrilled with the results of the operation, the incredibly neat and healthy looking perfectly stitched wound and the follow up aftercare. This is a testament to Dr.Markus Mander's incredible skills as a vet surgeon, and I am thankful to the wonderful person and fellow animal lover who originally recommended Dr.Markus through her own positive experiences. The friendly team of receptionists and vet nurses at SAHK are a great support to Dr.Mander and always helpful, polite and informative. Thank you!!!!!

We drove out to Avalon specifically to see Jamie for our groodle. He took a holistic approach to our dog’s care and looked at his entire medical history before deciding course of action. After months of messing around with other vets, treating symptoms rather than underlying issues, we finally have a plan for our pooch and know how to care for him! Couldn’t recommend this vet practice enough. The entire team were very helpful and caring for our dog.

Great places with heaps of friendly and helpful staff if you're looking to adopt an animal. During peak hour, there are staff that can guide you to parking which is bountiful there. You're given a form to fill out and will wait to see the animal your looking to adopt. There is usually a very long line so bring something to keep yourself entertained. You also get to speak to a behaviourialist and trainer that will lead the animal and let you interact with the pet. There are some animals that restore you to bring your family in before they are able to let you spot the animal

Knowledgeable, empathetic and devoted staff & volunteers who really try to do the right thing by the animals in their care. Multiple Vets on site for emergencies as well as checkups, dental and general care. Bookings for non-emergency work are required, as there are a lot of people who use their services. Their adoption services for dogs & cats of all ages are second to none. They also check the would be owners so that the pet only goes to "real" pet lovers. All adoptive pets are neutered, vet checked and in top condition before you can take them home, so you have a healthy pet to start with. Any costs prior to final pickup are on them, everyone pays the same adoption fee, so they want you to be happy as well, not burdened by unforeseen costs at the start. They also have a shop with a huge range of speciality foods for specific medical diets the on-site vets recommend, plus a good selection of leads, toys, treats and chews. All profits go back into running the centre & feeding the animals. The staff also have a great attitude, always happy, always smiling, always doing the right thing by the animals in their care.

I have had 2 super positive experience with the Yagoona shelter. I got my Border Collie x Rottweiler Waggs (previously named Rags) in 2008 and my kitten Rocket (previously named Jerry) just 1 month ago. Waggs has always been the sweetest, most loving boy, in great health despite his old age. Rocket came with some health concerns which were explained to me prior adopting him such as trouble gaining weight and diarrhoea which he had taken meds for. I can happily say our boy has more then doubled in weight since coming home and is fit and healthy. He is super playful, and the knew that and supported that by filling his house with plenty of toys. We think he got a ton of cuddles to as he is super loving and attached. The team there could tell us about any animal even their back stories. We will 100% be adopting from this shelter again. Thank you for my beautiful boys!

Awful !!!! As soon asthe dog I was babysitting saw the vet she wee'd herself and started shaking ,we went in because of her ears which he can never fix !!! He told me That he will talk to the owner about chopping her ears off !!!! ( his exact words ) So I took her to a naturopath friend who straight away said YEAST infection with secondary infection over her poor body was so itchy also to the point of bleeding !!!!!! So we changed her diet and washed her twice weekly in selsun blue shampoo ,ears were cleared with a mix of applecider vinigar 2 cap fuls mix with 2 capfuls of luke warm water and very gently wipe out ears and place a 3 drops in the ear canal.....its been a month of doing this a the dog is pain and itch free!!!!!!!! Finally after 2yrs of torture and no thanks to this vet ,he needs to change careers.

My dog has been coming here since he was 8 weeks old and we recently went in for some routine bloodwork. Someone did a very poor job with either the needle or shaving, because his skin is completely RAW and bloody. I haven’t had this experience with them before but needless to say I’m not surprised, I have seen a few other small careless things happen and am not thrilled by them. However, they have friendly staff and a flexible schedule- so they’ve always been accommodating in that way. Perhaps this was just a one off mistake.

I took my pet bunny here after a bad experience with Bondi Vet and was delighted with the service. Dr Ray is such an amazing vet with an obvious love of animals. I initially called this Vet for some advice after Bondi Vet let me down and spoke to the lovely Gemma on the phone who was very understanding and empathetic. Dr Ray then called the following day to check how my rabbit was doing and offered to see him that day if I was still worried about his recovery. He put me at ease, looked after my little pork bun and explained everything to me very clearly with obvious knowledge and kindness. Definitely will not be going anywhere else in the future. Please consider this vet for your furry friend, especially if your furry friend is a bunny!

This is in my opinion the best vet in Sydney and the only truly holistic vet (I've tried them all.) I owe Manuela a lot in keeping my `16 year old cat healthy and happy. They are compassionate, positive, and they inform you properly on what your pet's condition is, so you can be properly aware of their needs. Manuela also looks for ways to make her services as affordable as possible and doesn't do unnecessary (i.e. expensive) testing if there is another alternative. II could not rate them more highly.

We have been coming to this clinic for 5 years and we’re very happy with their services. We took our last dog to Dr Helen Wong for a few years and she was very good with him. When he got old and sick Helen was very kind and considerate when we had to say goodbye to him and even made a home visit to make it easier on us. Now that we have a young puppy, we are still seeing Helen and she is wonderful with him even when he is nervous and she always takes the time to give him a cuddle and some chicken treats to help him relax.

Total Hip Replacement for my 1yo Pup. Markus and Team were friendly, knowledgeable and caring during our entire process. After finding out our new family member required a lot of help with his hips, we decided the best option was the hip replacement. Now 10 weeks post-op our Dublin is doing great, walks every day and doesn't flop in a heap of pain afterwards! Andrew the surgeon did a wonderful and careful job too and was very easy to deal with. I’ve been taking my cat here for many years. Doctor Helen performed successful surgery on a cancerous tumour in his leg some time ago which I’m extremely grateful. Unfortunately he lost his life due to kidney failure at age 17. The staff there are compassionate and caring and a big shout out to Sarah who’s organised the cremation and his ashes to be returned to me at an extremely difficult time. Would I go back there? In a heartbeat. Would I recommend this practice to others? Without hesitation.

It would seem that my previous review has been removed. So let me recap.... they had my cat in their care for an afternoon due to a small emergency. Upon picking my kitty up, I was told that my cat would need to be put on blood pressure meds for the rest of his life. As I was getting ready to leave the same vet rushed back to me and asked me if they've done a blood test for my cat (for which I was initially charged for). I admit, I should have looked at the bill more carefully, but I was more concerned about taking my kitty home as he doesn't handle vet visits well. In any case I was taken back when the lady asked ME if THEY'VE done the test. It turned out that they haven't done ANY blood tests. BAD FORM! I took my baby Monster to AMS Veterniary Hospital where he got properly diagnosed and treated, and I'm delighted to report that he is doing fantastic for a 17yo little cat!

Different vets every time when I visit. Surprised with some positive reviews here. I recently went there just because it was after 5pm when my usual vet was closed at that time. But I won’t go there anymore in the future, I’d rather find somewhere else even if I have to see a vet urgently at night. Our dogs can be very dog reactive so they always let us sit in the spare room and make sure we know if there are dogs in reception when we are leaving. Thanks for Dr Chan treat my lovely girl's one mouth bad and dirty teeth. Because of her age (she is 15 years old) and the price (at least $1600), I once hesitated whether let her do the treatment.
